Environmental, Social and Governance report
Gamma takes its responsibilities towards the environment seriously. Despite being a service business with lower environmental impact than many other businesses, we are systematically assessing our impacts and developing programmes to minimise them. We are committed to social responsibility and embed this into our policies and practices. We believe that sound corporate governance is essential and that everyone within our business has a duty to behave responsibly and ethically.
The Gamma Board adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals in January 2020 and since that time Gamma has assessed each goal in depth to understand how the business is best placed to make a meaningful contribution. Four goals have been selected by Gamma and these goals form the foundation on which to develop our environmental, social, and ethical policies and will influence how we do business in the future.
The goals are:
Goal 5: | Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls |
Goal 8: | Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all |
Goal 10: | Reduce inequality within and among countries |
Goal 13: | Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts |
